About Miss Wilson

For a quarter century, Miss Elizabeth Wilson shaped Montreat College through diverse roles including dean of students, theology professor, interim chaplain, emeritus faculty, and board member. Her unwavering devotion manifested in countless acts of generosity, from anonymous scholarship grants to personalized mentorship that touched countless lives.
Known for her warm yet authoritative presence, she created spaces where every individual felt seen and valued. Her legacy continues through the physical spaces she helped establish, including the Chapel of the Prodigal and McGowan Center for Christian Studies.
