Expert Writing Support for Montreat Students Across All Campuses
Matthew Harrington Our writing assistance caters to every Montreat learner, whether you're pursuing undergraduate studies on campus or completing online courses remotely. We provide guidance to strengthen your writing abilities, crucial for thriving in any professional path.
Express yourself confidently with our support.
Every writer faces challenges in crafting messages, determining audience needs, and structuring content. Achieving excellence means mastering these elements while infusing creativity and precision.
The Montreat College Writing Program connects you with a knowledgeable peer mentor—known as a writing scholar—to assist with:
- establishing an effective writing methodology
- elevating your manuscript's quality
- performing meticulous editing tasks
- appreciating collaborative feedback benefits
While we don't complete assignments for you, we pinpoint strengths and areas needing growth, empowering you to refine your skills.
Undergraduate Learners
Campus-based undergraduates benefit from two flexible options:
- Visit the Thrive Center Writing Hub before 6pm or Room 105 after 6pm during weekdays. Consult the schedule for tutor availability! Our mentors accompany you through each writing phase—from initial ideas to final edits.
- Engage directly with a writing scholar tutor. After reviewing your draft, they'll arrange personalized meetings to discuss improvements. All World Civilization courses feature writing scholars; other disciplines may opt-in as well.
Remote Undergraduates & Graduates
For those studying off-campus, two convenient pathways exist:
- Visit our main campus hub in the Thrive Center until 6pm or Room 105 after 6pm in L. Nelson Bell Library. Updated timings appear in our schedule.
- Submit papers electronically for prompt feedback. Though face-to-face sessions are ideal, remote consultations suit non-campus students perfectly. Expect responses within 48 hours, Monday through Thursday during semester weeks (starting third week through exam period). Thursday requests typically yield results by Monday.
