She spearheads the Thrive Center for Learning, Calling, and Career, fostering academic achievement alongside spiritual discernment and vocational clarity. Her professional journey began at Bethel University, where she earned a B.A. in English Literature and Writing followed by a master's in counseling psychology. She later completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Azusa Pacific University, focusing on organizational dynamics and positive psychology. With over two decades at Bethel, Marie held pivotal roles including resident director, associate dean of students, and interim vice president for student life—each enhancing student wellbeing, leadership, and intercultural engagement. Academically, she teaches leadership studies and first-year transition courses.
