Position: Campus Security Officer (evenings) Approximately 10-month role; Aug. 1 thru mid-May
Location: Montreat College, main campus
Hours: 20+ hours per week; non-benefitted (.5 FTE)

Role Overview
This position supports campus safety through essential security responsibilities, executed with professionalism and respect for the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to emergency calls
- Managing building access points
- Directing foot and vehicle movement
- Conducting scheduled patrols
- Engaging in proactive community policing throughout shifts
- Providing security at campus events such as sports, homecoming, dances, and graduations
- Maintaining thorough operational records as required by federal standards
- Collaborating with local police departments
- Fulfilling additional tasks assigned by leadership
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
- Polished appearance
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Supervisory background advantageous
- Prior security or law enforcement experience valued
Educational Background
- High school diploma or higher; associate degree preferred
- Background in Criminal Justice beneficial
